BJSS carried out architecture and design work and later development and delivery of Proof of Concept systems for a Internet Technology application to be used globally by world leading Investment Banks for post trade, pre settlement processing. The highly sophisticated, real time GUI and related server systems allows order processing, and trading processing functions including settlement of stock against money transfers. The system has been demonstrated to great acclaim. It is likely that technology and architecture developed for this system will be used in product deliveries by members of the consortium. The system comprises of a NT/UNIX Java client/server application running over a VPN IPSec network. Security is ensured by use of Client/server certification via X.509v3. The system is massively scalable, highly transactional in nature and allows for secure 2-phase transactions to take place between client systems local databases and remote mainframe based DB/2 databases via use of XA facilities of IBM MQ Series technology.
